Software Engineer, AI Safety & Security Platform
Role description
You'll be a staff-level engineer building the full-stack platform that lets teams test, evaluate, and harden AI agents before they reach production: APIs, dashboards, and the customer-facing surface that brings it all together. You'll work directly with the founding team on architecture, product direction, and the most challenging technical problems we face.
This is a builder's role for an engineer who thinks in systems and products, has a security mindset baked in, and wants to take a platform from zero to one.
You might be a fit if you have
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production platforms end-to-end
- A history of building from 0 to 1, excelling in ambiguity, and driving complex ideas to ship
- Proven ability to translate user needs into intuitive APIs and interfaces, with the discipline to build what's necessary over technical vanity
- Proficiency with JavaScript and Python, and familiarity with a range of server-side technologies
- Nice to have: Prior experience at a security company, AI lab, or developer-tools company
- Nice to have: A history of being the engineer who turns a prototype into a real product
- Nice to have: Experience using AI-assisted coding tools to ship faster and higher-quality code (and an instinct for catching AI slop)
What you'll do
- Architect and build the core platform: APIs, evaluation infrastructure, and autonomy harness required to turn AI safety concepts into intuitive product
- Help define product direction alongside the founding team
- Set the engineering bar for code quality, security posture, and velocity
- Partner with security researchers and ML engineers to turn capability into product
